Less than three months after Burden of Truth’s cancellation, Kristin Kreuk landed her next TV gig – a role on Amazon Prime’s Jack Reacher series (opposite her former Smallville co-star Alan Ritchson!).
In Lee Child’s bestselling Jack Reacher novels, the towering and imposing title character (played here by Ritchson) is a former military policeman who now travels the United States taking odd jobs. Season 1 of the Amazon series – which will simply be titled Reacher – will be based on the first book, Killing Floor from 1997.
Kreuk – whose extensive TV resume also includes Beauty and the Beast – will play Charlie, a refined former debutante who lives the Country Club life with her husband Hubble (Marc Bendavid of Good Witch), but is much tougher. that it seems.
Ritchson returned to Smallville as Aquaman / Arthur Curry, while Kreuk, of course, played Lana Lang.
Meanwhile, Harvey Guillén of What We Do in the Shadows also joins the Reacher set as Jasper, the local medical examiner who is suddenly overwhelmed and terrified of multiple murders in his small town.
Other additions to the cast include Willie C. Carpenter (Devious Maids) as Town Barber, Currie Graham (The Rookie) as beloved longtime resident with a dark side and Maxwell Jenkins (Lost in Space). as Young Reacher.
They join all previous actors Malcolm Goodwin (iZombie), Willa Fitzgerald (Scream) and Bruce McGill (Rizzoli & Isles).
