Warner announces vinyl soundtrack series featuring the Dark Knight, Space Jam and Goodfellas

The summer blockbuster is back and heading to your record player. Warner Music Group has just announced a series of vinyl soundtracks that will see the company re-release some of its most popular compilations, including the soundtracks from the original Space Jam, The Dark Knight by Christopher Nolan, Inglourious Basterds by Quentin. Martin Scorsese’s Tarantino and Goodfellas.

“The soundtrack series is a powerful reminder of the importance of music in film storytelling,” the company said in a press release. Whether it’s an entire score of Alice Cooper in Welcome to My Nightmare or the Rolling Stones’ ‘Monkey Man’ during the frenzied helicopter scene in Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas, some songs are forever linked. at specific times in the film.

WMG’s new series will present its impressive catalog every week in July and August. On July 9, first, Alice Cooper’s shock-rock score for Welcome to My Nightmare on transparent vinyl, limited to 11,500 copies; the retro soundtrack of Death Proof by Tarantino on transparent, black and red vinyl, limited to 13,000 copies; and Space Jam fan favorite songs on red and black vinyl, limited to 11,000 copies.

On July 16, WMG will then release the Batman Forever soundtrack – with Seal’s Grammy-winning hit “Kiss from a Rose” – on blue and silver vinyl limited to 10,500 copies; as well as the soundtrack by Tarantino’s Jackie Brown – which includes dialogue from the film by Samuel L. Jackson and Robert De Niro, as well as countless classic soul songs – on blue vinyl limited to 12,000 copies. Next week, July 23, they’ll see Tarantino’s Grammy-nominated soundtrack for Inglourious Basterds released on a blood red translucent vinyl limited to 10,500 copies and the timeless Dazed and Confused soundtrack arriving on a purple translucent vinyl limited to 10. 000 copies.

The summer special will end on August 20 with the Goodfellas soundtrack on dark blue vinyl limited to 15,000 copies before ending on August 27 with the Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard score for The Dark Knight on neon green splashed vinyl. and purple limited to 14,500 copies

All of these discs will be available exclusively at participating physical outlets this summer.
