DaBaby releases new single “Ball if I Want To”: Stream

DaBaby is back with “Ball if I Want To”, her second single on the heels of her 2020 EP My Brother’s Keeper (Long Live G). On the bragging track, the rapper flexes without apologizing as he scrolls through verses about private jet charter, family members shying away and bragging about his sexual prowess.

“Bitch, it’s not even my birthday / But I can play if I want / Shoot, foreign cars if I want / Take that bitch out with that iron in my jumpsuit / Just do what I say and I love you, okay? ”he raps to a sparse rhythm and an echoing choral sample.

The song also arrives with a video made by DaBaby himself. He finds the rapper messing around on a college campus, with a team of cheerleaders, library parties, and a giant baby mascot. Watch DaBaby’s “Ball if I Want To” self-directed video after the jump.

This latest single follows a busy 2020 year, during which the rapper released his third album, Blame It on Baby, and won the first No. 1 hit of his career thanks to the smashing success of the “Rockstar” assisted by Roddy Rich.
