Sunset Overdrive Resurfaces On Twitter, Teases Fizzie In Ratchet & Clank

Did anyone hear that? ā€¯Insomniac Games then tweeted about Overdrive at sunset, showing Fizzie arriving from a purple rift; the same purple faults in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. It’s also part of Ratchet, Rivet and Clank’s takeover of the Insomniac Games account where the studio tweets as if they were the three characters. Although this is already a coincidence, the quote from PlayStation Twitter tweeted one of those tweets with googly eyes.

All of this seems to indicate something related to Overdrive at sunset come in the future. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart comes out on Friday, so it’s possible this is some sort of crossover. However, some believe it hints at a sequel or remaster of the first game and not just a cheeky online collaboration.

There is an alleged leak from the start of this year that claims the two are coming. This leak in question says that Sunset Overdrive: refreshed edition, an updated version of that 2014 original, will arrive on PS4 and PS5 later this fall. The same leak also indicates that Apocalypse at sunset, a sequel exclusive to the PS5, also arrives at some point in the future.

Sony also recorded a Overdrive at sunset trademark. This came after Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida claimed that Sony owns the Overdrive at sunset IP now after buying the studio in 2019.
