The CW has finally released the first trailer for the upcoming second season of the hit teen superhero series Star girl, which is due to return on Tuesday August 10. Star girl The Season 2 trailer, which you can check out below, gives a glimpse of Ysa Penarejo’s mysterious character. According to EW, Penarejo will play the role of Jade, who in the comics is known as the daughter of Green Lantern Alan Scott. This marks the DC character’s live-action debut.
The video also features Brec Bassinger’s Courtney as she tries to encourage the rest of the JSA to continue their superhero activities after their last battle with the Injustice Society. The other members of the JSA, including Yolanda / Wildcat and Rick / Hourman, believe they should go their separate ways as they have already defeated the threats. Unbeknownst to them, this is just the beginning as more and more villains are expected to arrive in Blue Valley, including Eclipso and The Shade.
