Deadline brings news that Emmy nominees Nathan Lane (The producers, Modern family, The bird cage) and Patti LuPone (Frasier, Hollywood, Witness) with Oscar nominee Amy Ryan (party baby party, Bird man, Office) and Kylie Rogers (The house before dark, Yellowstone) join Oscar winner Joaquin Phoenix (Joker, Gladiator, The master) in Ari Aster’s upcoming feature A24 Boul. Disappointment.

Details of the film are being kept under wraps, but the project is described as an intimate, decades-long portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time.
Aster (Hereditary, Middle) will write and direct the film which is produced and funded by A24. Aster and Lars Knudsen will also be producing through their Square Peg banner. Executive producers include Elisa Alvares and Timo Argillander’s IPR.VC.

Lane, who most recently appeared in Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, and Ryan will appear in Hulu’s upcoming crime drama series Only the murders in the building, with Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez. Rogers will next appear in director Gail Lerner’s film Cheaper by the dozen remake for Disney +, co-written by Kenya Barris and Jenifer Rice-Genzuk and starring Zach Braff and Gabrielle Union.
