Generally speaking, the BAFTA TV Awards aren’t normally as big as their big-screen counterpart, the BAFTA Film Awards, which took place on April 11 of this year. But we think we’re speaking for the nation – no, the world – when we say good television is what got us through the past year of successive blockages. And with such incredible TV shows gracing our screens recently – from I May Destroy You to Normal People and Sex Education – tonight’s BAFTA TV ceremony is set to mark one of the biggest nights of the 2021 awards season. .
Starting of course with the red carpet – which was ruled by the queens of television tonight. Killing Eve star Jodie Comer looked amazing in high waisted navy pants and a matching navy blouse with loose curls and peach makeup. The 28-year-old actress attended the ceremony a day before filming began on the fourth season of the hit BBC show, saying: “Don’t worry, I pre-ordered my taxi, I’m not going to have a hangover. ”Can she already be our BFF?
The most important looks served on the British red carpet including Dua Lipa channeling Amy Winehouse (!!!)
Then there was I May Destroy You designer and star Michaela Coel – who is short of several awards, including the lead actress – in a big black dress with red sleeves and a high split neck.
But one of our favorite looks had to be AJ Odudu’s remarkable one-shoulder plumage cropped in a bright summery red. Can we steal it for our June 21 Freedom Day outfit, please, AJ?
Stop what you’re doing – these are all the * epic * looks from the 2021 Oscars red carpet
