Just a day after #BritneySpears gave a heartbreaking testimony about her tutelage, the singer took to Instagram and apologized to her fans.
By posting a photo, Britney captioned it transparently about her experiences.
Apologizing for pretending to be okay, she said, in part, “I just want to tell you a little secret guys… I believe that as people we all want fairytale life and fairy tale life. elsewhere I posted … “
She continued, “I apologize for pretending I was doing well the past two years… I did it because of my pride and I was embarrassed to share what happened to me… but honestly, who doesn’t. not want to capture there Instagram in a funny light 💡🤷🏼♀️ !!!!
As you know, Britney Spears personally asked to speak to Judge Brenda Penny and explained why she desperately wanted her nearly 15-year tutorship under her father’s leadership to end. Speaking on the phone for almost 20 minutes, she detailed horrific allegations of abuse, being forcibly drugged with lithium and also being forced to keep an IUD in place so that she would no longer have children. . At one point Britney said: “The control he had to hurt his own daughter, he loved her. I worked seven days a week… it was like sex trafficking. I didn’t have a credit card, cash, or passport.
Speaking of the horrors of being put on unwillingly on lithium, which is a drug commonly used to treat bipolar disorder, Britney bombed. She went on to say, “It’s a powerful drug. You can become mentally handicapped if you stay there for more than five months. I felt drunk I couldn’t even have a conversation with my mom or dad about anything. They got me with six different nurses. My family did nothing. All I had to do [my dad] was the one who approved everything. My whole family did nothing. She also detailed her wish to expand her family who was arrested: “I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told that I could not get married. I have an IUD inside of me but this so called team won’t let me go to the doctor to remove it because they don’t want me to have any more children. This tutelage does me more harm than good.
She also said her mental health continues to be at risk.
Britney Spears’ next hearing in the case is set for July 14.
