ITV has released a first look at the drama Trigger Point starring Vicky McClure in a series of images, following its announcement last year.
The series also stars Adrian Lester and is produced by Jed Mercurio’s HTM Television.

What is the ITV drama Trigger Point about?
Vicky and Adrian play the demining experts in the new six-part series.
The Line of Duty star plays Front Line Officer Lana Washington, who is a seasoned bomb disposal officer known as “Expo.”
Adrian plays Joel Nutkins, who works alongside him.

Both ex-soldiers, the two are close, having served together in Afghanistan.
And the first footage shows the thoughtful couple in full bomb disposal gear as they head into a dangerous situation.
Other footage shows Lana searching for a bomb under a car, with Joel also in full protective gear.

What is Trigger Point?
The plot sees Lana and Joel pushed into the crosshairs when a dangerous situation arises.
A terrorist campaign threatens London over the summer, and the Expos are at the forefront of urgent efforts to find out who is behind the bombings before the death toll escalates.
The show is currently filming and it looks like viewers are up for one hell of a ride.

What did Vicky say about the role?
Vicky said of the role: “So grateful to be working with Jed again.
“I am really looking forward to creating a strong, brilliant and troubled character in Lana Washington.
“Daniel Brierley produced a brilliant and biting script. Can’t wait to start later this year.

Meanwhile, Jed commented, “I am absolutely delighted that Adrian Lester has joined the cast of Trigger Point.
“Adrian is one of the best actors working on British television today and will make a terrific combination with Vicky McClure.”
