In fact, there have even been recent rumors that Piers may return to GMB.

He said he had had “talks” with ITV, but there is no formal confirmation of a return from the channel yet.

He resigned in March after saying he did not believe Meghan Markle’s claims in his interview with Oprah Winfrey.

As a result, Meghan reportedly complained directly to ITV and Piers subsequently resigned.

The former GMB host tweeted defiantly at the time: “On Monday I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her interview with Oprah. I had time to think about this opinion, and I didn’t Still don’t. If you did, okay. Free speech is a hill I’m happy to die on.

“Thanks for all the love and hate. I’ll spend more time with my opinions.
