The important message follows after a series of former Islanders speak out on trolling.

Last month, Michael Griffiths, who appeared on the show in 2019, spoke about the horrific abuse he suffered after leaving the villa.

He told the Daily Star: “When I first went out I was getting a lot of death threats. People tell me to kill myself.

“There were people telling me that they knew where I lived and stuff like that and that they were going to do things when they saw me.”

Additionally, Michael shared, “But nothing ever came of it, I’m not going to live my life in fear because someone is a bit of a keyboard warrior.”

Prior to the series, competitors will also be trained in handling trolling and internet abuse.

Who are the new competitors?

Love Island announced their new batch of sexy singletons today (June 21).

Among the stars are fashion blogger Kaz Kamwi, physical education teacher Hugo Hammond and luxury events host Aaron Francis.

Meanwhile, candidate Sharon Gaffka was the first to join the squad.
